Principal Access.

We work with a small number of principals and institutions on matters that carry real consequence

"The principals we work with are not looking for an adviser. They are looking for someone they can trust absolutely. That is a different thing entirely."

Vienna has long occupied a singular position in world affairs. From the Congress of Vienna, which redrew the map of the world in 1814, to the permanent seats of the United Nations, OPEC, the IAEA and the OSCE, this has always been the city where competing interests come to sit in the same room. Situated at the point where the Western world meets the East, it became a place where relationships were cultivated with patience, where cultural fluency was a professional virtue, and where the ability to move between worlds was understood as a form of capital in its own right. The Oriental Academy, established in 1754 and later reconstituted as the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, gave formal expression to that tradition. Its graduates were not trained as intermediaries. They were trained to think as their counterparts thought, to understand the logic of other systems, the weight of other obligations, the meaning behind what was said and what was not. That quality of understanding, rare then and rarer now, is the foundation of what we do. We operate from Vienna precisely because that tradition is not incidental to our work. It is the work.

The principal we work with is not looking for research or introductions that can be arranged. They are looking for access that cannot be manufactured and trust that cannot be accelerated. The relationships we bring were formed over years of sustained presence, in contexts where that kind of continuity is noticed and remembered. We work with a small number of partners, and only where the basis for a long-term relationship is genuinely there.

"We do not open doors for clients. We walk through them together."

What We Do

Our work.

Independent advisory services for select clients on matters requiring specialised knowledge and established relationships.

01

Strategic Advisory

Direct counsel for leaders who value clarity over process. No slide decks. No frameworks for their own sake. Just an honest perspective that entrepreneurs and owners have repeatedly chosen to rely on.

02

Business Development

Access to and assessment of opportunities, shared only with a small number of partners through a network that was built over years, not assembled for a pitch.

03

Market Knowledge

Regional context for companies considering expansion or investment across Europe, Central Asia, Eastern Africa, and the Middle East. Not reports that can be commissioned. Understanding that comes from years of being there.

04

Principal Representation

Representation and independent counsel for principals pursuing cross-border opportunities, drawing on relationships formed over years of sustained presence, not introductions that can be arranged.

05

Board Advisory

Non-executive and advisory roles where an outside perspective is genuinely useful, not where a name is needed for the board paper.

06

Special Situations

Selective engagement where others cannot or will not. The situations that do not fit into a standard process are the ones where our experience matters most.

Founder

Konstantin Kraus is an international executive and board adviser with real experience of governance and strategic oversight at companies that operate across borders.

He has spent years in the environments that matter to our clients: Europe, Central Asia, Eastern Africa, and the Middle East. Family offices and entrepreneurs have repeatedly asked him to represent their interests and to sit alongside their executive teams as a trusted voice, not a consultant.

He is also an investor in software, technology, and consumer ventures. He contributed to the Greener Davos Initiative during the World Economic Forum Annual Meetings and was invited to join the Global Shapers Community in 2017.

Konstantin holds an MSc from the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna and the Vienna University of Technology, a BA (Hons) from University College London (UCL), and also studied in Moscow (MGIMO), Beijing (Peking University), and Shanghai (Fudan University).
